For manual operation, simply insert the winch handle in the socket and crank. The ELS Series use a solid-state control box that runs the winch at high speed and slows it down as the load increases. A less expensive alternative is the E-Series which operates with a simple, single-direction, On/Off control box. Thermal overload protection is standard on both. Quiet running and easy to install, these winches provide efficient operation and are suitable for genoa sheets on boats 30' 36', and for main halyards on boats 40' 46'.
